It doesn’t take much to realize that the Earth is going through changes which,
unfortunately, aren’t good. While it’s obvious that the Earth is having abnormalities
regarding the rise of its temperature, numerous people are still skeptical about it.
Global Warming is a phenomenon that, according to National Geographic is
“the long-term warming of the planet’s overall temperature.” Mostly, the causes of
global warming include humans.
A few factors that caused global warming and other problems that come along
with it are deforestation, burning of fossil fuels, factory wastes and industrial activities,
bad agricultural activities, and more.
While it’s not a new conflict, its impact can be felt more and more nowadays.
More forests around the world are being burned just because of the high temperature
and it’s even hard to put the fire off sometimes, affecting the lives of people who are
near the areas. It is alarming how this lasts for days and not only does it result from
global warming, it contributes to other factors such as pollution as well. Take for
example the fire that happened in Australia, and the many others that happened
recently.
Aside from that, it’s undeniable that multiple bodies of water are now drying up
because of the hot temperature. Glaciers and more bodies of ice are melting which
causes discrepancies in the weather and causing loss of wildlife and their habitat.
Another major problem that it causes is climate change. While the two are often
deemed as the same thing, it’s not. Climate change is the abnormal change in the
weather pattern of the world.
As if these things aren’t enough to prove that global warming is not a hoax,
some people still have doubts. In my perspective, that is the reason why not everyone is
willing to take action and find a solution to this seemingly unending problem.
Believing and acknowledging that it exists is the first step to actually finding and
helping to resolve it. As much as we, the inhabitants of Earth, deny that global warming
is harming our home, it is a reality.
Its effects are already in front of our face, waiting for us to take action.
